Great Deliverance

… and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith (2Thess.3.2).

One of the most dangerous things I have seen among the Brethren is the assumption that everyone has a clean and free mind towards one another. Never fall into that category of believers that are careless. There are unreasonable and wicked people who often mix up with the righteous, disguising as children of light. They were known as mixed multitudes in the Old Testament. They pretend to have your interest at heart but they can cause damage to the unity of believers. They take advantage of good people and well intentioned believers.

The victims of such people are often simple minded people who have no discernment. They trust everyone as though the world is as plain as it appears. They are sincere people but can sometimes be sincerely wrong. They assume that sincerity is all they need to live in this world. However, sincerity without walking in wisdom is outright foolishness. Sincerity alone cannot deliver you, it takes wisdom to walk with people who are different from you. This is because they have a different mindset and agenda that could crush anyone on their path.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding (Prov. 4:7).

When it comes to living among the believers and non-believers, wisdom is the principal thing to have. Without wisdom, you run the risk of losing out. The wicked is always scheming to outsmart the righteous. They plot to pull him down but by wisdom, God delivers him. Paul desired that they may be delivered from wicked and unreasonable people. May God deliver you from such people in Jesus name.
