God’s promise to His children

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Heb.13.5-6)

You may not have all you need for now but you will definitely not live in lack forever. To crave for more is not wrong but to cover what others have is a sin. God, who is our father has promised that He will neither leave nor forsake us. The essence of the promise is to give us confidence that He will be with us in all circumstances. There is no need to fear what situations and challenges of life may be.

There are situations that creep in upon us in the form of emergencies. It is at such times we need to remember the promise of God neither to leave nor forsake us. He is ever committed to His Word, to be with us through the thick and thin. We rest assured that He will not fail, irrespective of the challenges we are confronted with. The blessed assurance of Jesus is ours at all times.

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever (John.14.16).

The promise of Jesus is to that He will give us another helper to abide with us forever. There has never been a time God abandoned His own either due to their mistakes or to teach them a lesson. This may be hard to believe but it is true. Even when the believer sins, not it’s the Holy spirit that convicts him of righteousness. Hallelujah! We are secured in Him.
