Are you rebellious?

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting (Rom.1.28).

When obedience is not possible, excuses are manufactured. The Spirit of God will not always strife with human beings but at the point when a person is left to self destruct due to irrational decisions, care should be exercised. Rebellion is the outright rejection of the knowledge of God and His ways. Exploring other ways of life at the expense of what God expects of us isn’t freedom. Actual freedom is the departure from evil and the right to choose God’s ways.

God is love and it is never His choice to leave man to his ways but the continuous rejection of truth as spelt out in the Bible is rebellion. The human nature is selfish and will always seek its way, if permitted. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding. Are you contradicting the word of God in any way? Do you think you’re ready to face him at the end of your life? Can you stand the consequences of your decisions, if left to yourself?

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2Pet.3.9).

It is the will of God that all people come to the knowledge of salvation. He desires that no one should perish. His love is available for you even when you have turned your back against him. He is ever loving and ever faithful to welcome you back.
