The Gift of God

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, “Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”(John.4.10)

Do you know the gift of God? Jesus said to the woman by the well of Samaria, “if you knew the gift of God…” It can be a tragedy to have something and not know it. How do you feel when you see a soap factory worker walking about dirty? How do you feel when you see a prince of a wealthy kingdom begging on the street? The availability of a treasure does not automatically translates into the appreciation of such treasure. People may have what they do not know the value. Do you know the gift of God? Christ is the sum total of all that God has to offer the world and He is more than enough.

There is a reason why the major part of the New Covenant believer’s life is hinged on the knowledge of Christ. The more you know Him, the more you want to know Him. He is inexhaustible, like a depth that keeps drawing you until you are drown in it. The Bible calls Him the author and finisher of our faith and in between the beginning and end is a journey to the depth unknown where we find the richness of God’s grace, mercy, love, favour and patience. Jesus is an envelope of the abundance of all that God has for mankind. There is more to Him than just the name. He is an embodiment of the Father. Hallelujah!

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live (John.11.25).

May you have an encounter that continues to reveal the depth of Christ to you. Until the moment He told Martha that there was no need to wait until tommorow to have her brother back to life, she never believed it was possible. It is very easy to give up in life and pack it all up when there is no deeper understanding that with God all things are possible. Yet, there is more than you have discovered. More grace, more mercy, more love, more favour just more and more until we see Him face to face. Amen.
