Expect a Miracle

Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church (Acts.12.5).

The case of Peter’s imprisonment was peculiar because he was to be killed the following day after the death of James. However, no situation can defy divine intervention. The church gathered to pray for a miracle. They got it and Peter was released supernaturally. Sometimes, all we need to do is to earnestly pray for divine intervention. As we seek God’s face, heaven responds to us in ways we can’t explain.

A similar thing happened with Paul and Silas. They were imprisoned but they prayed and sang until heaven opened the gates. What do you do when you are at your wits end? Those who trust in God will not easily give up. They keep believing in the supernatural power of God to change things. Recently, a friend was billed for surgery after three doctors examined her. She prayed and God said it won’t happen if she doesn’t want it. She chose to say No. Her condition changed after few days. What do you do when in crisis?

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know’ (Jer. 33:3).

If there are people to pray, there is a God to answer. The admonition is to be careful for nothing. Don’t be agitated rather, believe and ask from God. Be persistent until your requests are granted. He is ever faithful to respond to those who ask Him for intervention. Don’t give up. Keep asking. God is never tired of your prayers. Shalom!
