House in the Rock

The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they make their houses in the rocks (Pro. 30:26).
The diligence of the cronies is amazing. They are a very feeble folks that are resolved to go build their house in the rock. How possible is that? All things are possible with careful planning and execution, there can be tremendous results. The lesson here starts from the conception of ideas through the action plans. The cronies were never intimidated by the hardness of the rock, rather they were determined to build their house therein and they began to plan the possibility. A great man once said, aim for the moon and you could reach the star. When strong desire is lacking, results are not inspiring.

One of the gifts God bestowed on the human mind is the power of imagination. The ability to explore the world and beyond creatively to birth the impossible. It is arguable that no other animal has such privilege but we see the rock badgers reaching beyond their weakness to dare greater things. When the ability to imagine great things is lacking, we settle for whatever comes our way.

History has recorded great people with physical limitations but strong minds that imagined the impossible like, Hellen Keller, Fanny Crossby and many others. I remember leading a blind student to her class as an undergraduate. She requested I take her to room 185 while I was headed to room 186. She pointed it out that I was heading the wrong direction. “Excuse me, I have the eyes that could see and you don’t.” Unknown to me, her inner eyes saw beyond my two physical eyes. The power of imagination can see the impossible while faith will receive it from God.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Eph. 3:20).

The amazing thing is that God could exceed our request to our imagination and surpass all that we could ever think. We have the liberty in God to bring the invisible to existence through the power of imagination and execution. Paul encouraged us that we “can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.” What is limiting you?
