Luke 17:15. _And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God_ .

As a little boy of about 8 years of age. I was with my father in the farm when he harvested a small tuber of yam. He said, “Lord, I thank you for this harvest.”

I was confused so I asked him why he had to give thanks for such a small tuber. It was then he taught me that the Bible said we should give thanks in every situation. He reminded me that many planted but had no harvest at all.

Gratitude is a graceful attitude. Learning to be thankful is not what you do when you have enough, it is what you do when your heart appreciates the little you have.

Ingratitude is like a virus, it spreads very fast. It breeds discontent, grumbling, murmuring, envy and all manner of evil. When last did you say, “thank you, Lord.”

Read this,
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you
(1Thess.5.18).

Giving thanks always is God’s will for you. Your present situation may not be God’s will but thanksgiving has a way of turning the table around to make you see how Good God has been to you.
When last did you genuinely give thanks?

Savour with Sola John.
